BALB/c-J1SPF mice
In 1913, H.J. Bagg of the National Cancer Institute of the United States bred "Baggalbino" from albino wild-type mice. In 1923, MacDowell conducted inbreeding and in 1932, Sell obtained the 26th generation and named it the BALB/c strain. In 2011, Spafas (Beijing) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. introduced and bred BALB/c-J1SPF mice from the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Seed Center. After multiple generations of breeding, they were selected in 2019.
Features:
Fast growth, with male individuals weighing 22.3% more than same-age male BALB/c mice, and female individuals weighing 12.8% more than same-age female BALB/c mice.
Applications
Mainly used for large-scale monoclonal antibody production and preparation.
