    C57BL/6JNifdc mice
    C57BL was obtained by inbreeding the offspring of female mice 57 and male mice 52 from Abby Lathrop mice bred by C.C. Little in 1921. C57BL/6 and C57BL/10 sublines were separated in 1937. In 2011, Spafas (Beijing) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. introduced and bred C57BL/6JNifdc mice from the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Resources.
    Features:

    Low spontaneous tumor incidence, strong resistance and adaptability, high reproductive and survival rates.

    Prone to diet-induced obesity, high alcohol tolerance, low levels of adrenaline-like lipids.

    High interferon production, moderate tolerance to radiation, high complement activity, relatively easy to induce immune tolerance.

    Susceptible to histamine factors of pertussis, sensitive to tuberculosis bacteria.

    Applications

    Genetics, immunology, neurobiology, and neurology research.

    Cardiovascular biology, developmental biology, models of diabetes and obesity, myocardial infarction models, renal failure models, and preparation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.
