NOD-SCID mice
A new type of immunodeficient mice established by introducing the Prkdc (Protein kinase, DNA-activated, catalytic polypeptide, also known as scid) gene mutation into the non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice strain through gene editing technology.
Features:
T and B lymphocytes cannot develop normally. The ability of NK cells and binding to complement is low.
Applications
Commonly used in research on oncology, immunology, embryonic stem cells, AIDS and hepatitis.
